Finance Gap
So far, the key investor and a co-investor cumulated about 700.000 Euro private resources to the Hortus Cyrenaicus.
In order to achieve an operational level at the end of phase I, a finance gap of about 165.000 Euro is needed. 110.000 Euro is needed currently to complete the agritourist section with its side activities. 25.000 Euro is needed in the budget of the Eco Tourism and about 30.000 Euro for the construction of the ecologic heating system. - Formulate and launch crowd funding projects
- Identify other forms of financial support / investors / interest groups
Becoming a Resident - Open for 2025
To build an efficient and sustainable Hortus Cyrenaicus, a certain number of residents is needed, sharing the work load and the responsibilities of the individual sections of the Hortus Cyrenaicus. In 2025, we plan to allocate residents for the first 6 areas of about 1.600 square meters each. - PLEASE READ THE PDF (German or English)... These residents hopefully can be found in 2025 and after going jointly through trainings and coaching measures as well as individual agreements, we may have the human potential for the secured workforce, skills and competences that can run and mange jointly the overall Hortus Cyrenaicus. Once this will be implemented successfully, the financial backups from this operation shall be used to enlarge the land size of Hortus Cyrenaicus up to 10 hectares land and about 20 residential grounds. This second human enlargement will demand of course further trainings and coaching and even more individual agreements. The end of phase 2 of the human enlargement shall provide the sustainability and the overall success of the self-sufficiency.
Besides becoming a "permanent" resident, it is foreseen to open the Hortus for temporary (short & mid-term) residents, who can stay in their own Camper / Tent / accommodation or who could rent an existing accommodation from Hortus Cyrenaicus in order to find out if the interest is strong enough to stay longer or to experience the Hortus climate.
