Our Projects
With the help of a lot of volunteers we´ve managed to finish a lot of our projects.
At Hortus Cyrenaicus, every step we take brings us closer to a more self-sufficient, sustainable way of life. What began as a vision to live in harmony with nature has grown into a living example of regenerative practices and mindful living. Some of our key milestones include: - Powering the whole farm with Solar energy and therefore being energy independent - Using our private groundwater supply that is used as drinking water and for irrigation And there is much more planned - click below for further info |
Become Part of Hortus – As a Resident
Are you dreaming of living closer to nature, growing your own food, and shaping a truly sustainable way of life?
In 2025, we are opening the first six residential plots (each approx. 1,600 m²) to future residents ready to co-create, maintain, and live within the vision of Hortus Cyrenaicus. Together, we’ll share responsibilities, build structures, and support each other through joint training, coaching, and individual agreements.
Whether you’re looking for a long-term home in nature or want to try out life in the Hortus temporarily (with your own camper, tent, or a rented eco-accommodation) — the door is open.
This is more than a place to live. It’s a movement toward true autonomy, self-sufficiency, and community-powered growth.
